Baby Loves
Published in Hardcover by DK Publishing (October, 1998)
Average review score:

Baby Loves"Baby Loves" by Michael Lawrence and Adrian Reynolds is based on the premise that "baby" loves Mommy and Daddy more than anything else in the world except, breakfast; and baby loves breakfast more than anything else in the world, except. . .slippers. . . teddy. . .kitty, well you get the story. Bright colors, large type, and big two-page illustrations are a plus, especially when reading to more than one child at a time. The illustrations are colorful and comical, but with just enough detail that I am certain the authors wanted to entertain mommies and daddies as much as their little ones. The book is quick to read, and your children will quickly pick up the pattern as they follow along with what baby loves next. The best books have "sappy" endings and this one is no exception. One small aside, this book is bound with so-called "toddler-proof" pages, which should more accurately be called "nearly toddler-proof" pages.(nothing a little tape can't handle) Highly recommended for a keeper or a gift.
FunMy twenty-month old really likes this book. She rapidlylearned all the words of the baby's loves (grandma, sunshine, bathtime, etc.) and happily calls them out as we turn the appropriate page. We really whiz through it -- it's a good book to have handy when you only have time for a quick one. The bold illustrations are great.

Baby's Day Out in Southern California: Fun Places to Go With Babies and Toddlers
Published in Paperback by Gem Guides Book Co (May, 2003)
Average review score:

A Survival book for the S. Cal. ParentWhether you are from S. Cal or just visiting, this is the book for anyone wanting to have an enjoyable day with their children in Southern California. It is filled with ideas and facts about more than just the usual L.A. attractions. And it is geared toward the parent with young children and what is fun and appropriate for them. After I used it once, I don't go anywhere without this book. I just leave it in the car. You'll never be at a loss for places to go and the best way to see them. It is obvious that Dr. Holt did her research and has been to all of these places firsthand. There are no blind recommendations and her ideas for fun and free adventures really inspired me to get out there and explore with my children. Buy this book and you are on the road to years of hassle free outings with your kids.
A Great Guide For Creating Adventure and Wonderful MemoriesWhere was this book when I had my first child? This book is a great way to help plan fun outings with little kids, especially if you're new to parenting or Southern California. It's well organized, very thorough, easy to use, and formatted so that you can get an overview without getting bogged down in too much detail. I like how you can check out the events that occur by month, like the harvest festivals or holiday events. I highly recommend this book for new moms and moms who are looking for adventure and wonderful memories with their kids.

Bad Day for Ali Baba
Published in Hardcover by Headline (07 November, 1991)
Average review score:

A great book destined to obscurityIt's a shame not too many people have read this. It became a cult favorite in my school many years ago when I recommended it to my classmates and I still read it after many years. It's been lent out so many times it's divided into four pieces and I STILL read it, so I think that says something. It's very creative and stylistic, nothing else I've read has approached this style. Craig Shaw Gardner takes the wondrous yet speedy tone the original Arabian Nights takes, and perverts it horribly. I don't know why authors don't pervert classics. Maybe I should.
Absolutely Gardner hilarious!Craig Shaw Gardner once again bombards his readers with his wit and wacky humor. I love this book and Gardner's style. It may not be something everyone can appreciate, but I do, and find it incredibly amusing.

THE BAKER BIBLE HANBOOK FOR KIDSALL CHILDREN WOULD ENJOY READING THE BIBLE IF THEY KNEW OR HAD A CLUE OF SOMETHING TO LOOK FOR. WELL THIS BOOK DOES THAT. COULDN'T PUT ITDOWN MYSELF WHEN IT CAME, & I AM FAR FROM THE AGE OF A CHILD. I DO HOWEVER: WISH I HAD THIS WHEN I TAUGHT SUNDAY SCHOOL YEARS AGO. ... IT IS A VERY GOOD HELP BOOK!

Barbara Taylor Bradford's Living Romantically Every Day 2003 Block Calendar
Published in Paperback by Andrews McMeel Publishing (July, 2002)
Average review score:

Very RomanticThis is really a very nice calendar. It gives tips on how to be romantic to ur partner and it really works. Very romantic, sensational, and very helpful. But the only bad thing in it is that it's not colorful. It's black and white. But it's pretty good otherwise.
Excellent New Calendar For 2003This is a wonderfull desk calendar for any fan of Barbara Taylor Bradford. Each day of the year has another innovative idea from Barbara on how to make life a bit more special and romantic.
Highly reccomended!

Barron's 14 Days to Higher Sat I Scores: Let the Authority in Test Preparation Help You Prepare
Published in Paperback by Barrons Educational Audio (August, 1994)
Average review score:

Tip passed onAs I started High School many SAT help books were thrown my way from my always helpfull parents and relatives. But this book passed the true test of time. By the end of my Junior year this Red book was the only one left on my desk, with the flash cards scattered throughout my room. It helped me get the scores I wanted...I hope the same is true for you.
If you want a higher score, buy this bookI bought Barron's SAT I prep book and studied it for about a month before my test. It helps you learn your vocabulary and hone in on the math skills that you need work on. The best thing to prepare for the SAT, though, is to TAKE the SAT, and Barron's has plenty of practice tests that are as close to the real thing as you can get. I can sincerely give an unqualified endorsement of this book. My 1600 has Barron's written all over it.

Basic Guide to Family Child Care Record Keeping
Published in Paperback by Redleaf Press (September, 1992)
Average review score:

Very Informative!!I just opened my home daycare in April and wasn't sure what things I would need for year end taxes and didn't want to be surprised come January. Copeland's book goes step by step and gives good examples. He answered most of my questions just as I was beginning to ask them! Very good book.
A MUST!Whether you're new to child care or been in it a while, I guarantee this book will teach you a lot! I found items to deduct at tax time that I've had no clue about for years. This is definitely a must for all providers. The author is a pleasant man and a great speaker too!
This book was truly useful for me. Like the other reviewer, I wish I had knew about it during my freshman year. The book has some very practical and easy-to-adopt tips on studying and getting motivated (with lots of research to back-up those tips, for skeptics).
I really enjoyed it becuase of it's earnest, helpful tone. Very easy to read too. Highly recommended!
